Some months ago I was approached by Mal Cater, Principal of Mentone Grammar in Melbourne, to discuss creating some sculptures for a courtyard within the school grounds.

We established a theme and I then commenced making the maquettes (small versions of the final pieces).

The project has now been approved and I have been given the green light to move forward with this project, which I am very excited about.

This is quite a significant opportunity and it will be a learning experience for me.

This blog is a way to document and reflect on the process of making the sculptures and a way of sharing with the students of Mentone Grammar and others, how I go about making my artwork.

Little Folk maquettes made specifically for Mentone Grammar. Literacy, STEAM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths), the Arts and Sports.
